City Marketplace Plans - WITHDRAWN BY THE DEVELOPER
A Partial List of Changes Requested by the Developers
1. They want the city to GIVE them the city owned landscaping strip on Marion so that they can build all the way up to the sidewalk.
2. They want the city to allow them to build more than the allowed 84 residential units. They want almost FIVE TIMES that amount - 406 units.
3. They want to be allowed to build much smaller, lower priced apartments - about 800 sq ft.
4. They want the city to allow them to build higher than allowed.
5. They want the city to give up about 19 public street parking places on Retta Esplanade.
6. They want the city to CLOSE the public street Retta Esplanade so that they can use the street for their bar/restaurant tables.
7. They want the city to allow them to only provide 436 parking spots for their 406 residential units and commercial spaces. (Remember they took away 19 on Retta Esplanade and more to make entrances to their residents' onsite parking.)
8. They also want the city to adjust the ratio of commercial to residential so that they can put in more residential rental units and allow much less area for commercial use.
